Caicos to Puerto Plata, DR

Looking to cruise from turks and caicos to puerto plata dr in mid june and then on to puerto rico. I was wondering what kind of seas i should expect in this area over this period of time. I have plenty of time to wait for weather windows, just wanted to get a general idea from all who have made this crossing in the past. Thanks in advance.

See my avatar for the conditions we had, glassy. We waited for a forecast where we could fly the spinnaker as much as possible and that is what we got.

It be nice if you could hold out for a front from the NW to come through, gotta be quick though, the NW wind portion doesn't last long. We rode one from Cat Island all the way to TCI.

I think that time of year you should expect trades from the SE but forecasts are usually wrong.

Go to Ocean World or Luperon not the commercial port, it sucks!!!
