Re: Caribbean Crime against Yachts - Summary of CSSN News&Reports (February 2016)

The story concerning pirates off Nicaragua where a steel trawler traveling at 14 knots attempted to ram another power vessel is especially disturbing for sailors who would be unable to outrun a boat capable of that speed. These incidents have become too numerous to ignore and cruisers need to truly question their reason for cruising in certain areas of the world known for potential piracy and threats to personal safety. This is sad and disturbing. Good luck and safe sailing.
