Most settlements have a BTC office to buy simm. Other option order simm from Dr Simm online and get it before you go.

I can handle slow internet... as long as it works... and as long as texting works. Again, slow is fine, just needs to actually work. (I'm not in the Bahamas to rush. LOL)... I thought and read about the Dr Simm thing... - just seemed like a lot of extra $$ and hassle... are you saying that T-Mobile has the coverage like it says on their map, only that it is slow, or are you saying something else? T-mobile uses the BTC network so anywhere there is a BTC cell signal it will work.

If the signal is the same, that would be gonzo wonderful. I had a very much better signal from my BTC usage than I get here in the USA with TM's sim.

My wife has a BTC SIM card in her phone and I notice she has a signal a little before I do but otherwise the same. For us it works well for her having the data plan with BTC and me using T-mobile. I can text, get and send email and browse the Internet fine. If I ne d to do a big download I use her hotspot with better bandwidth.

Just left two months in Bahamas. Used my Sprint plan on Global Roaming. Free texts, free 3G data, and $0.25 per minute voice calls. No messing with sim cards. Works thru BTC antenna system. No, you can't stream movies, but I didn't go to Bahamas for that.
