Chartering bareboat for crossing

I manage the sailing dept. of a large tourism operation.
My clients are interested to charter a cat 42-50 for crossing from Canary to Barbados (or nearby destination).
The period - December 2022.
Would appreciate an info on possible charter companies.
Thanks!

Re: Chartering bareboat for crossing

I did my first bareboat charter back in 1979. I have done many charters, in many parts of the world, with many different companies, since then. I have NEVER heard of ANY company that would allow one of their boats to be taken across an ocean on a bareboat charter.

Good luck, but I honestly don't think you are going to find any company that will do this.

Perhaps a better approach would be to find someone who wants to move their boat, and is looking for crew.

Consider crewing a delivery with a competent master.

Although on a delivery the “guests” will have to work.

Get in touch with Lagoon in France, they are always looking for crew to deliver new boats to the Caribe.

William F Buckley chartered a boat and sailed across the Atlantic west to east sometime in the eighties.

if somebody like William F. Buckley Jr. come,he can charter boat without deposit (only couple 1000€ and insurance 1-2000€)
but this person must be on minimum like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_F._Buckley_Jr.
and a perfect credit score issued with his bank warranty.
But in reality nobody wants charter his boat in cocain route. If police seize boat insurance don't cover lose.

before 3 weeks we rent 5 boat from norway,Germany USA customer without problem. But also cancel 4 rent agreement when we receive crew list and check name and country of origin.
O yes coming from east country( with mix EU outside EU crew) all young under 30 year without logical family connection and without women, without valid credit card to enyoj winter on MED. What this guy think we find yacht on street.

when customers come we must very quickly decide are you criminal or disent person .and we do our job very good.
