Chartering in the BVIs

We're chartering in the BVIs from BVI Yacht Charters, and I'm wondering if anyone has chartered from them and if so, has it been a good experience?

Also, is it far from the Road Town Ferry Terminal to BVI Yacht Charters?

Thanks.

BVI Yacht Charters is the best. Decent boats, great prices, outstanding service. That's been our experience. Of course, since you've already made the decision...

Chartered with them in 2010 and and couldn't have been happier. Not real fancy but great group of folks. We had a fairly new Bene34 everything worked great. Only hiccup was some bad gas in the dink. We were up at Saba Rock and they had a tech at our mooring within half an hour, he tore down and cleaned the carburetor while I used his dink to go to Bitter End Yacht Club and dump the bad gas and get some new(which they credited back at the end of the charter. I think it cost us ten bucks in a cab from the ferry dock and took only a few minutes. Tell Abbie hello! I think she is still there

What kind of shoreside facilities does BVI YC have? My wife is pretty adamant about having clean bathrooms and showers available before and after any charter.

I've chartered from BVI Yacht Charters several time both before and after their move to their current location. I have nothing but praise for their operation.

The facilities at the base are not glamorous, but they are very clean and functional. The staff are superb.

Okay, but do they have showers available for their charterers?

The best thing about their location is very near the RiteWay food store. I did a charter with them a few years ago and they were very good.

Note NONE of the charter companies have Great Showers except those out of Nanny Cay. You will also not find any Great ones along your path but many OK to good ones if you look hard enough.

Re: Chartering in the BVIs

I've chartered with them several times. I'm going again this summer. Top notch operation. Like others have said, the bathrooms are clean and functional, but not glamorous. The did upgrade them last year, but they are not air conditioned.

Riteway food is a quick walk over and they will give you a free cab ride back.
It's about a 5 minute cab ride from the ferry terminal.
Lots of specific BVI charter info at travel talk online.
BTW, which boat are you chartering?
