Clearing customs in Carriacou

Curious if anyone has cleared customs by anchoring at L'Esterre Bay and cabbing it over to Tyrell? Someone suggested that since Tyrell is kind of dirty and commercial.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Re: Clearing customs in Carriacou

Hi! I was there last year. We moored in paradise bay and then walked/ took a bus to the Tyrell customs. note: if you are walking, walk along the beach under blue turtle/ scuba shop and slip way to the Marina... don't need to hike up the hill to the Marina gate and then down again!

Paradise bay was a great stop! had a nice couple of drinks at Off d'Hook

Re: Clearing customs in Carriacou

Was there over the Christmas/New Year period. Tyrell Bay customs is located right next to the fuel dock in the boatyard, so we took the opportunity to clear there as we could tie up 50m from customs. Very convenient.

The other option is Hillsborough. Fantastic anchoring, beautiful beach. Somewhat sketch dinghy dock, but do-able if you use a stern anchor.
