Sort of depends on what you have your air conditioning set to, I guess.

Otherwise, 10 degrees is 10 degrees.

I'm with Davy J and I was working at TSS on yard work and when your body is telling you you need to get out of the heat... It is too freaking hot!! At one point I was thinking of just jumping into the harbor.

Re: Coolest Florida summer weather?

Actually, September is quite hot if not the hottest in South Florida. That said, remember the Gulf Stream along the South East coast of Florida, moderates the temperatures. It's a rare day that the actual air temperature goes over 95 in the Summer. Then our afternoon thunderstorms cool us off. But make no mistake, even with southeastern breezes and afternoon rain showers, it's never comfortable till the heat breaks in mid October. Then it goes from 95 down to 89. As they say, it's not the heat do much as it is the humidity!

i was there last month and the real feel was already 100F during the day .. you might get a seabreeze in the afternoon. better off staying as close to the coast as you can .. but not advisable for hurricanes. it does not get better until October

Re: Coolest Florida summer weather?

Probably South East FL would be the most mild. That's relative to the rest of the state of course. Very hot and humid in North Fl, the panhandle and the gulf coast. I lived there 20 years. Maimi/Ft Lauderdale may have the best weather but in my opinion is also the least desirable place to stay. To each his own.

Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral (with MANY fully protected marinas and never having direct hits by hurricanes) is very comfortable in summer.

Re: Coolest Florida summer weather?

It’s not the heat it’s the A/C . People get trapped inside by the ac. Humans can tolerate the heat well once acclimated. I try to get the chores done early. Pace yourself. If it gets too hot go sit in the shade catch the breeze and have a cold drink. Or do like my friends the keep a boat in Florida and one in Maine.
