Course: Bahamas Cape Cod?

Planning on Bahamas to Cape Cod in a few weeks. Hoping for good weather, it is 1k mi direct on a course of 020T.

In researching currents, I am seeing that direct course is a bit outside of the GS, and in fact, current runs counter to the course at some points. See pic, blue line is direct course.

For those who have done this is the real world, not just on the charts, do you care about this, or does it make sense to add miles to the trip by going a bit west into the GS to help with the speed.

It might be moot as depending upon the weather, if we can't do this in 7 days, we are going to need to stop, so heading west to Hatteras/VA/NJ might be required regardless.

The current is worth the detour, at least to the point where the GS starts getting too far east. if your weather looks good

Also the fishing will be better in the GS.
