Dogs on Boats??

We are new to sailing with a dog...have a 50lb english bull-dog. How do others handle dogs on boats, especially when away from our home dock for days on end?

Lots of planning, and in your case, a strong back. Even my agile working border collie dorks out sometimes and falls in between the boat and the dock, or dink and boat. I'd imagine that happening, and figure our how you'll retrieve him when it does.
