ETIAS in the Caribbean?

30 countries in Europe will soon require new European Travel Information and Authorization System paperwork prior to entry - even from countries that do not require visas.

https://etias.com/

Some of these countries have territories in the Caribbean. These territories generally follow the laws of their parent countries, except when they don't.

Did anyone know if the Caribbean territories will require ETIAS?

Re: ETIAS in the Caribbean?

As French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, and Réunion are not part of the Schengen Area, it is likely that the ETIAS will not be required or valid for entry to these regions.

The ETIAS system will cover all current EU Schengen member states.
This list includes Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden, plus future Schengen countries such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus and Romania.
The ETIAS system will also cover countries under the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) such as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, and European microstates with open borders including Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, and Vatican City.

The EU’s overseas regions and territories all have different rules. Some are considered part of the EU and Schengen Area; others are only part of the EU but not Schengen; and most are not included in either bloc.

Visitors will need to register with the ETIAS visa waiver system to visit any part of the Schengen Area.
This includes the following overseas regions:
The Canary Islands (Spain)
Ceuta (Spain)
Melilla (Spain)
The Azores (Portugal)
Madeira (Portugal)
Faroe Islands (self-governing nation under the external sovereignty of the Kingdom of Denmark)
