Fairfield Harbour NC

Can anyone tell me the depths of the canals in the residential areas of Fairfield Harbour NC? My wife and I are looking at renting a canal-front home there and wonder if we can keep our 5' draft Tartan 30 in the back yard.

GasKelly, I cannot tell you the exact depths but my wife and I keep our boat at Northwest Creek Marina which is at the entrance to Fairfield Harbor. I can tell you that there are boats, both sail and trawlers much larger than a Tartan 30 coming in and out of there. So depending on where your house is in there you should not have an issue.

Welcome to NC

Re: Fairfield Harbour NC

Thanks Patman,
If this works out the marina will be my back up. I know the depths there are 8+ ft. But how nice would it be to walk across my back lawn and climb aboard!
Greg
