Fernandina to Savannah

Thinking about taking a trip on the out side up to savanaha for a couple of days then back to fernandina. Wondering if anyone had any information on savanaha (good or bad) that may be of use. Ive never been in there so i know very little about it, the only attraction as of now is the distance from fernandina seems appropriate for a long weekend trip!

You can get a slip right downtown. Just make sure the weather cooperates so you can get back.

Container ship going up the river.

It is a great dock, but getting in contact with the people running the dock can be a trick and a half. I believe it is the Hyatt Regency is running the dock although it is listed as "public."
