Good boat ramp with long term parking in Miami area?

I have a trailer sailer, 28ft Sea Pearl. Looking to launch next week and wait for a weather window to head to Bimini or the Berry's. I need to leave the truck and trailer for 1-2 weeks in a reasonably secure location after we launch. I am open to private marinas, public marinas, even somebody that wants to make a few bucks storing my rig temporarily. Any suggestions? In the past I have left my truck and trailer at Sandsprit Park in Port Salerno/Stuart with no issues but I'd like to launch further south this year given the post-Dorian issues on Grand Bahama/Abacos. Thx

Key lime cottages owns the old boatyard/marina at the N end of Key Largo. It's about halfway between homestead and key largo. Also, many years ago, I parked at the homestead ramp for about 10 days. Just left a note on dash and all was fine.

I just confirmed that Crandon Marina in Key Biscayne has a 24 hour boat ramp, loads of parking that you pay for with a kiosk. Sounds perfect, I'll report back after we use it.

We've used used Crandon several times. The first time we arrived at night and none of the pay kiosks were working. Had to wait for the office to open.

We've always avoided a weekend launch/retrieve. Zoo on the weekends.

No Name harbor around to the south on Key Biscayne is a snug spot to overnight before taking off. It has a pump out , open air showers and a laundry room.

Regards

I have used Harbour Towne Marina in Ft. Lauderdale yearly since 2014 for my annual powerboat trip to Bimini. Facility is topnotch and VERY secure parking, app. 15 bucks a day. You will have no worries about your vehicle and trailer while you are gone and you can concentrate on your adventure. Have fun!

This. I would not leave my rig at a public ramp in Dade over night.

Ok thanks everyone, I made contact with Harbour Towne and will use them. Very friendly on the phone and about as close to FLL as you can possibly which will be a plus when we fly back.

Re: Good boat ramp with long term parking in Miami area?

An option for Miami is call Cory 3058076126. He has 2 secure storage facilities. In 2013, I launched my boat at the boat landing, drove my truck and trailer to his nearby facility and he gave me a ride back to my boat. Called him when I arrived back in country and he came to the boat ramp and picked me up and took me back to my truck so I could retrieve my boat.

In West Palm in 2018, I launched at Phil Foster Memorial Boat Landing. My buddy stayed with the boat while I drove my truck and trailer to the airport and parked in long term parking and took an UBER back to the boat landing. Cost was 14 bucks a day. It would be cheaper in economy parking.

Hope that helps.

Re: Good boat ramp with long term parking in Miami area?

Crandon is quite safe. Pay by phone with app, sometimes there's an attendant and you can use a meter machine as well. Wouldn't leave for more than a couple of days, you can park pretty close to dockmaster's spot.
Don't recommend on weekends, early mornings or whenever the scum of the earth likes to drink or fish.
There's a sweet spot right before crossing to the keys you may want to check as well. southdademarina on 54400 S Dixie Hwy. This would be a nice option.

We used south dade marina when we sailed for a week in the keys. They were great and he had a guy who lived on site to watch everything. Thx-Ace
