Grenadines Marina?

Hi,

I am new to the board but am about to purchase a 46 foot monohull and want to keep in the St. Vincent / Grenadines / Grenada area. I am planning to cruise this area off and on for the next 12 months and will use the boat about half the time.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good marina where I could moor the boat when not in use? It would be nice if the marina was reasonably accessible to an airport.

Thanks.

Re: Grenadines Marina?

Not familiar with SVG yet, skipped on way down. Have been in Grenada for 4 months. Grenada is very safe, lots of boats left unattended. Port Louis for a slip, and Prickly bay for a mooring, both $50xcd for a cab ride from airport. There are others, but further away from airport. Customs in Grenada can be problematic if you try to fly lots of parts in for boat. Otherwise lovely country with wonderful people.

You may also want to find out how long you can keep a foreign registered boat in the country of your choice. Customs rules vary from country to country

Very good point. Grenada is 12 months w/o much hassle. There are alot of boats here that have stayed longer, never asked how. Noonsite.com would be a good reference.

Port Louis Marina in St. George's is where I have been docked for this season - really love it there. Great facility.
