Haul-Out Facilities in Puerto Rico

We wish to haul out our sailboat for the hurricane season in Puerto Rico. Both Puerto del Rey and Isleta Marina are full. Can anyone suggest other possibilities? Thanks
Pete

Here's a website that should give you some leads with phone numbers to call: Marinas.com-Puerto Rico

Good luck!

Re: Haul-Out Facilities in Puerto Rico

Pete,
I happen to be in Puerto Rico and just looked at 2 marinas, Sun Bay and Del Ray.
SunBay Marina :: Fajardo, Puerto Rico - Full Service Marina in Puerto Rico
Puerto del Rey

Puerto Del Ray is a huge marina, just huge, with full facilities. I was told that it is the largest marina in the Caribbean. Sun Bay and Del Ray are near the town of Fajardo on the eastern shore.
Both can be seen on this map.

Thanks. Sunbay does not have haulout for sailboats although like many marinas they have dry stack for small power boats. Puerto del Rey is full. Any other ideas would be much appreciated.

Palmas del Mar also has haul out facilities.
An alternative would be to leave the boat in the water at a safe place like Salinas andhave someone watch over it

Thanks. Our insurance company requires that we haul out for the hurricane season. The yard at Palmas del Mar is full. Any other ideas please

San Juan Bay Marina (San Juan Bay Marina) and the Ponce Yacht & Fishing Club (Yacht Club) have big travel lifts but you'd have to check on space.

Does it have to be PR ? How about the Dominican Republic??
What is the size of your boat?

Thanks. I checked my notes and they did agree to put me on a waiting list. The place was called Varadero at Palmas. Is that the same place you refer to?
