I want to move to Florida

I'm with Travis and Miniyot.....I have enjoyed Jax for many years. Between my work and my 4 yrs of Navy time, I have moved 24 times during my 69 years. I like Jax the best of all..
Regardless of size..the issues are the same, crime, drugs..you name it...all the same....
I've lived in Atlanta for 20 years, the burbs of Los Angeles, the Blue Grass of Kentucky, the marshes of Savannah and even out in rural Georgia...doesn't matter any longer....crime and drugs are every where.....
We all must make the decision as to what is acceptable to each of us and then enjoy our choices....your home is Your Castle whether on land or at sea.....the most important thing is to Enjoy Life, be thankful for what you have and respectful to others........

My folks have been very happy in Punta Gorda for the last 3 years. Seems like a quiet, clean community with excellent access to the Gulf and Charlotte Harbor. Plenty of good RE deals, even on canal-front homes.

We've also spent some time up east of Panama City (Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas, etc.) and have found that area to be quite nice too. Things are a bit touristy and dirtier close to Panama City, but some of the surrounding areas offer great beaches and harbors without the glitz.
