Long Island Sound

Hi Sailors,
Next summer we'd like to sail in this area before go to Boston.
Anyone who can suggest a marina able to moore a 9.2 ft draft sailboat?

And, any nice route for one week from this marina and back for my parents that will join us?

Thanks a lot.

Re: Long Island Sound

Manhasset Bay close to NYC (train 45 mins), protected, deep water,
Port Wash. town moorings call Matt 516 767 1691(should be 10' plus)
number of other marinas, close to town, restaurants, close supermarket, west marine.
Oyster Bay, also close to town, train but longer to NYC, Oyster bay Marine Center.
Northport, Seymours, Britannia(very nice but maybe not enough water at low
Close to very nice town.
Port Jefferson, close to town, Danfords and others.
Great ports on route ...
Port Washington, (Manhasset bay)
Oyster bay
Northport
Port Jefferson
Essex, Ct. a favorite(six miles up Ct River) North of Orient Pt.
Much more to see, but so little time.
Greenport, Shelter Island,
Thimble Islands, another favorite.
My home base is Manhasset Bay, Happy to talk/etc. if more info

Re: Long Island Sound

Britannia in Northport is going to be marginal for a 9 Ft draft. If so only at high tide.
