Knowing what you added, i'd second ranger's thought. There is a lot to offer in the Annapolis/Baltimore/Bay area, but getting around the cape in NC would put a big hurdle behind you if winter starts to set in early. Plus, your expenses will be less both for boat and the rest of life. Driving-wise, it'll probably add 8-12 hours but that's not much if the destination is all the way to Michigan.

Thanks so much guys!!! Sorry for the slow reply, getting rid of all the crap in the house is a big job!!!
Sounds like I should go by the seat of my pants a little more and be flexible on where to dock the boat.
Going to be a fun trip I can't wait, been planning this for the last couple of years.
