I'm looking forward to sailing my newly aquired wooden ketch to Bergen from Toronto. (see photos in the gallery)
I've posted a thread in general category but this may be more appropriate.
The plan is to visit Iceland, Faeroes, and Shetlands along the way.
I'd love to see pictures of boats that have crossed the North Atlantic
Also, not being a fisherman, can anyone advise me on what sort of basic fishing equipment would be worth bringing, what we might catch and how to cook it?
Are there any legal issues about fishig "out there"
Another thing, I'd like to learn to scuba dive for fun and as a potentially useful ability. Do they do much of that in the North Atlantic? Is it worth it?
What is involved with filling your own tanks on board?
