Re: NY to Bahamas - First Time - Offshore

stay out of the icw… it’s for stinkpotters, sail offshore as soon as weather is favorable!

And the weather looks fine, Tammy is half an ocean away

Re: NY to Bahamas - First Time - Offshore

Hello everyone !
Just a quick update. More details to follow later in.
I left NY on October 23 following my original plan !
Yea, I went sailing offshore and it was the best sailing ever in my life !
I have to come to my alternate, West Palm Beach because one of my solar panels got hit by the boom on a jibe on a windstorm (Cyrian)
All went very well and I am super happy with the boat performance.
Although the first week was an easy ride, the second week the wind switched to NE and it was a little rough, having no wind or 35 kts and had to heave to for some 20 hs or so.
The trip was 14 days long and I have arrived last Sunday 5th of November sound and safe.
