Rigger in the Turks and Caicos

Does anyone know a name of someone who could help me with a headsail furling issue in the Turks and Caicos Islands? We are in at Blue Haven Marina for the holidays. Genoa halyard is wrapping around forestay.

Can we rule out not enough tension on the halyard, halyard retainer has come adrift resulting in an improper halyard angle to the upper swivel, upper swivel is binding/not rolling freely?

YUP-- all the above.


And add that headsail length/halyard tension is adequate to have the head of the jib "high enough" to afford the proper angle of halyard back to mast head or halyard retainer.


If not, quick fix is to use a short pendent at the foot of the jib to achieve the proper geometry at the head.
