is that amelia island, fla???? if you measure the distance and count on 5-7 kts per hour, you will have the answer roughly.

You can ride the current for a lot of it. Much of it will add 4 kts to your speed.

Re: Sailing from Cozumel to Amelia Island, FL

Thanks for the replies guys! Was off line for a bit and not able to reply till now. Trying to get everything sorted out for the trip. Unfortunately in all the excitement of getting my new boat, I forgot which way I was going!!! I will be sailing from Amilia Island FL. to Cozumel. Not the other way around. Sorry about that. Also I am planning to sail as much as possible with minimal stops. Not interested in docking up anywhere except when I get to Cozumel. Are there anchorages along the way or do I need to dock up in a port to rest? Probably going to have Lot's more questions and it's nice to have this forum available!

Re: Sailing from Cozumel to Amelia Island, FL

Thanks for the suggestion, I will consider it. I don't think I will need any additional fuel or provisions so, that might work out well. I will be carrying additional fuel and lots of provisions. I think I need to start another thread with the correct question and maybe get some help....
