Sailing from USVI to Jax., Florida

I will be sailing my boat back to the States end of Feb. beginning of March. Looking to see if anyone else will be sailing their boats that way to buddy up with.

Can't help you with the buddy boating, but did that trip last year solo, after my Moorings boat came out of the program, so if you have any questions of someone who's done it, feel free to send me a message.

Re: Sailing from USVI to Jax., Florida

Thanks for the offer. I plan on basically going back same way I came last year. We left from Lake Worth to the Great Issac Light, across the top of the banks to Nassau, to Highborne Cut, to Rum Cat, the Turks to DR to PR and on down to St. Lucia. I started in Nov. from St. Lucia as I left her there for the summer. Decided out of all the islands the Virgins were the best so decided to spend thus season here till I head home.
My only change in the return route is to go straight from here in St. Thomas to Rum Cat and then backtrack last yrs. route. If you experienced a better route back I'd like to hear about it. This is gonna be basicly a delivery run, no sightseeing.
Thanks
Sam

Re: Sailing from USVI to Jax., Florida

I've only done it once, so probably don't have much of value to add. Going solo, I anchored every night except for the over night from PR to the DR.

Have a great trip!
