Search for El Hierro inside yourself

Am just about to enter our fourth week here on the stunning island of El Hierro. Despite my reluctance to share what seems to be a well-kept secret, I can't help but gush about the natural beauty of this place. I have written more at emmajayashton | Songs from the Seas. I would appreciate any comments on my writing as I am new at this!

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with traditional music whilst in the Canaries. I have caught glimpses of the choral singing groups and a few traditional instruments but the music which is melancholic and seems tinged with Cuban influence, makes me curious. Are there any places to catch live Canarian music in el Hierro or any of the other islands?
