Solar Panel Mounts In Antigua

Last winter we installed, temporarily, 2 solar panels. We want to do a more permanent install and will need to have some stainless mounting hardware fabricated. The boat is currently in Jolly Harbor, Antigua for hurricane season and we will be returning in Nov. Has anyone had any work like this done in Antigua?

Re: Solar Panel Mounts In Antigua

I wish I could remember then name of the operation, it is close to where the big Race Week kickoff party is held, walk from Falmouth/Antigua along the main road and it will be on your right-hand side, after the dive shop but before the turnoff to the road up to Shirley heights. The name has something to do with wooden boat-building but they do excellent metalwork.

I had good results with Woodstock on a small amount of stainless welding. I think Marine Power is also good.

I think it was Woodstock that I was referring to.

i used a guy named Elvis to do some stainless welding in Jolly Harbour. . he did a very good job but not cheap
You can go up to the marina office and ask them. I cannot remember the name of the marina manager, but he is a tall, skinny black man about 50 years old and really intelligent and helpful
