South Florida Non-Marina Land Storage ?

Does anyone know of a land storage option other than the marinas? I have a 44 ft. Sailboat in need of an extensive and lengthy refit, so I would like to find an inexpensive alternative to a boatyard/marina.

Or, can anyone recommend a boatyard preferably in or near Ft. Lauderdale that would give me a more reasonable storage rate for longer term storage, say 6 months or more? In other words, a place like Indiantown but further south. (boat needs to be repowered, so I can't get it up there by water right now)

And related needs for the non marina storage option are for a trucking service and a boatyard in Ft. Lauderdale for dropping the mast. Boat is currently on the New River in Ft. Lauderdale.

No cheap storage in FL. Cheapest is Green Cove Springs but if it's in the work yard rather than storage costs go up.

Have you checked with Playboy Marine in Dania Beach? You might be able to work a deal for long term storage, Plus it's a DIY yard. 954-920-0533.
Good luck........

OK, but it's in Jacksonville right? If so, too far north.

Thanks, I'll call Playboy.

Just got off the phone with them. They don't do any long term storage. Just short term DIY facility, like it was when I was there about 7 years ago.
