Surveyor recommendation in Grenada

Hi cruisers, I am heading to Granada in a couple of weeks to check out a steel hull boat. Just in case we like the boat are there any recommendations for a good surveyor of a steel boat? It's not that I expect a survey to be accomplished while I am there but its nice to have a name just in case. Thanks in advance! Rick

we are in Grenada at the moment to purchase a boat. Our survey is tomorrow and we are working with Neil Batcheler (survey@mangoprojects.gd).
I'll let you know how the survey goes, but so far working with Neil in organizing and planning for the survey has been great.

What kind of lead time did Neil need before he was able to look at the boat?

Rick, we had a few weeks of lead time. I think he gets quite booked up though, so worth reaching out as soon as you have a date in mind.

Neil Batcheler did a great job for us last year, and was fairly priced.

Thank you for this information. I am also interested in a boat in Grenada and was concerned about finding a surveyor.
Any updates about going to Grenada for those with Covid vaccines? Or still quarantine?

We used Bob Goodchild of Flying Fish Ventures and Surveying, a few years ago in Grenada. Local company and accepted by the insurance companies. He was thorough and fair in his report.

Granada is looking for two days quarantine, if you have been fully vaccinated, after the first day you arrive with a PCR test taken at the airport. If it comes back negative your set out to mingle with the natives.

Hi guys , so far I have had zero luck finding a surveyor for a steel hull. Neil does not do pre-purchase, Bob will not be in the country. Mark Sutton does not do steel boat but others in the company he works for does but they are in BVI and can't travel.
Is there anyone in Florida that can be recommended?
