Or leave marsh harbor and out whale cay into the ocean, then north to the chesapeake. But you will miss all the really nice stops in the northern abacos.

Just got back from the Exumas so this is good to know. Sailed the Exumas a few times but never the Abacos. Too far north if you are heading down the Caribbean from the Keys.
Weather was fantastic for July.

We just arrived back from the Exuma's this morning. Weather was good compared to Abaco but where was the wind this year?

Agreed. I motored everyday. About 10 knots of SE winds, straight downwind heading up and into it coming back.

It depends on your style of cruising. We prefer the solitude and beauty of the Exumas and Eleuthera. We also like the Abacos for the convenient access to restaurants, fuel, entertainment, grocery stores, supplies, internet access, etc.
