This is pretty exciting, thank you all for the advice. This Friday and Saturday will be full taking a look at these places. A friend of mine suggested a place called Rocketts Landing -- he said it was about 30 mins from the hospital.

Are you going to be local or flying in and out from the West Coast? If you're commuting the Little Creek suggestion is great. I really like Vinings Landing Marina - walking distance to groceries and chandlery. Very close to Norfolk airport.

If you are an SSCA member you should contact a local SSCA cruising station (I think there are three). Growltiger runs the whole cruising station program.
