Thanks atoll, The windvane steers nicely dead down wind. If yawing too much in steeper waves we reef the main and unfurl a bit more genoa. It is amazing how little sail is needed to keep the boat moving at a good comfortable speed downwind in the trades.

We have a YouTube channel (SV Bora Bora) and have finally started uploading our content...been a bit slack and learning the editing software is a real brain workout!!

We have four videos so far, fifth should be up by the weekend, of our journey from the UK to Portugal last year... Since then we've been into the western Med and Balearics and Morocco and will be crossing the Atlantic this year so we're trying hard to catch up to real time with the editing! We also have a detailed blog with lots of info on anchorages etc.

Here is the link to our Ep 1...

WTched all thre the other morning , very good , thoroughly enjoyed and interesting , good luck w th propellor ,will check nxt instalment when it comes out

It would appear that the girl is having some " life happens " issues re health and family which she is working throo , she is understandably keeping tight lipped about her private life , seems she ( they ) still have the boat and she plans some " projects " in the coming months so hopefully we will be seeing more of her and her delightful little daughter soon ,,,,( although they seem to have some sort of support / sponsorship deal going on ) I would say to anyone who is prone to donating/ helping these vbloggers that she / they seem well deserving of any assistance which they can get , or even practical help from any boaty types who find them in their neighbourhood ,,, good luck to them .

i'm interested to see how they will cope when they hit the winter storms in the atlantic next month with their new crew!

i also noticed they got rid of 2 of their water tanks as they were not using them!
i'm not sure if this is a wise move with 15000 miles of ocean in front of them,5 crew on board, and only a couple of hundred liters storage,if the watermaker stops working on passage.......i hope they carry enough spare in jugs, and have a good epirb if they run out on passage

Re: Vlogging, Atlantic Crossing 2016 and upcoming 2017

Love the sailing vlogs.

My favorite ones are:

-Sailorama (Check 'em out!)
-The Geordie the Witch and the Wench
-Emerald Steel
(none of them heading for the atlantic crossing though)
I can't post any links for the videos as Im sneaking on wifi and its slow to load a yt page

The Two aboard Tuuli crew posted above sadly sold the boat in the Canary Island last year.

I'm working on our first video but the software is killing me. I've got plenty of footage to put in an easy to follow story. Also, taking the videos when something happens is not the easiest. For instance we steered all the bay of Biscay cause our windvane failed and when arriving in A Coruna our gearbox failed. In such moments I just find it hard to take the cam. We're currently in Sanxenxo, North Spain.

please post here when you do upload.

,as i said to pallaran, perhaps getting a static camera and putting it on a backstay or solar panel arch would create some useful background footage for the times when you have your hands full

Im in the harbour In Sanxenxo now I've put my gearbox back on this afternoon everything works...anyway, just to say that I 've got a proper wifi connection and watched Untie the Lines tonight and thats exactly what she does. She drops the cam on/in the boat and films herself hands free.
