Westbound in the Southern Caribbean

Hey all- I am planning a voyage from the Eastern Caribbean to Panama, via Columbia. This will be my first time sailing this route. To those who have gone before me, when are the best and worst times of the year to begin this voyage? From there, I plan on traversing the Panama Canal & sailing to Hawaii via Clipperton & Socorro. Thank you.
