widest docks in West Palm

This is kind of a dumb question but we are going to do a major boat cleaning before making our crossing to the Bahamas. It's time to put winter gear away and air out the bedding. Is there a good friendly marina in West Palm with wide docks where we can spread out and clean?

how long do you need? if only for a day , downtown has a lot of free dock space- you can use , but not spend the night

Try Old Port Cove in N. Palm Beach. They have lots of empty dock space that you may be able to spread out on. Nice wide floating docks too.

Palm Harbor in downtown WPB has wide, floating docks. $$$, though!

That's what we ended up going with. 45 ft minimum at $2.25/ft, ouch! Nasty, nasty current through there. We ended up in one of those heinous docking situations with everyone staring and yelling as the poor helmsman bashed into the dock. It made me glad I was not the skipper on that one. Everyone has a bad day. Why, in a full service marina, they wanted us to dock bow in, down current in a 1.5 knot current, in a slip, with another boat, when, clearly there were wide open slips further-in protected from current and wind, is completely beyond me. I guess a place like that assumes everyone has bow and stern thrusters? You'd think at that price they would try to make it easy for everyone involved. Instead it was catch as catch can.

Sounds like a situation where the skipper should have refused the dock. I always tell my crew what we are doing in advance and to take instructions only from me!

Durn, too late. North Palm Beach Marina would have been good for that, and they're accommodating folks. I can't remember what we paid, but it wasn't exceptional and there was a BoatUS discount
