A Boating Query...

Hi there -

Was wondering if anyone has any tips and tricks for new boat owners?

could anyone suggest a list of helpful tools to get started?
I'm also wondering the best way to store my boat as I won't be using it much until march.

Any help would be much appreciated

thanks!

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, boatingfever.

Storage ideas may depend upon your location.

Re: A Boating Query...

Thank you, and also for your quick reply!

I see - what is generally considered the best option?

I am also looking for any suggestions on keeping the boat in the best condition I can, do you know of any handy, (more homemade) tools/materials aside from those that can be bought?

Suggests a colder climate, so I'd prefer a haulout and dry land storage in a boatyard.
You'll probably want to winterize your engine and water/waste systems, if freezing is possible.

What sort of boat? A trailer sailer with an outboard will require a different set of tools/skills than a 40’ diesel inboard with HVAC and deep draft.
