Re: Advice for deep cleaning interior?

I also bought a round wooden dish brush, drilled an 8mm hole in the middle of the wood, epoxied an 8mm bit into it and use my electric screwdriver to turn it. It makes getting stepped on chocolate out of the anti-skid pattern on the cabin sole a breeze. Works great on the deck anti-skid as well. Recently, I have seen my "invention" as a commercial product. But a wooden dish brush works a treat.

I think that the product for removing smells is a product called Ozium and is available on Amazon. https://amzn.to/3k0r2Vc

I use a handheld steamer to loosen and clean any “sticky” grime or residue. High heat cuts thru, tho you can only work in small areas.

Re: Advice for deep cleaning interior?

If it very bad, you can try a scraper on flat surfaces.

I have done a lot with watered down methylated spirit (you can add some soap, ideally hot water) and pot cleaner balls like these https://www.walmart.com/c/kp/stainle...l-pot-cleaners or scotch brites, also to clean wood that got rewaxed afterwards. Not for shiny surfaces, at least nothing that scratches to much. The more water, the longer it takes to dry.

Unwatered methylated spirit is dangerous as it is pretty flamable.

Re: Advice for deep cleaning interior?

When I was a kid my BFF’s family went away for a year and rented their house to a HEAVY smoker. (They didn’t know at the time they rented it.) Until you get the yellow residue off the surfaces, any efforts to control the smell will not work long term. My friend and I had to scrub things down top to bottom with just lots of soap and water and elbow grease. Frequent water changes.

If you’re worried about water running down onto the floor while you are cleaning, what about using something absorbent like puppy pads (like for potty training a dog) on the floor in the area where you are working, so any drips or leaks get soaked up?

Was wondering if anyone had advice on cleaning the interior? We are not sure how careful we need to be about getting the floor wet as we don't want to cause any mold.

It's a Searunner trimaran which is a wooden boat with a fiberglass hull.
dawn + water , finish with "MOLD CONTROL" from home Depot and leave a film of this on.
