Annapolis Yacht Sales . . . Any Good ?

I have just made a very preliminary offer on a boat being handled by Annapolis Yacht Sales. They appear to be very reputable, has anyone had dealings with them? If so, good, bad, neutral?

This is a very good boat by all accounts, but I can not get to see her until the middle of next month. This is a definite date, no sh*t, I'm pulling the trigger. And I am afraid to miss this one, it's too good and too close.

I can't find an emoteicon for "Scared Sh*tless"

Re: Annapolis Yacht Sales, any good?

I purchased my boat through AYS. Tim Wilbricht was the broker. He was excellent, when it came to communication, obtaining documents, etc etc.

Used, Dave Manning for the Survey, I would recommend Dave.

I knew the vessel I purchased, having sailed on her for a number of years as crew, but the process was made very easy by these two individuals.

Thanks, I have been in contact with Paul Rosen. So far he is very good, I have absolutely no complaints. Any one else deal with him?

Thanks for the Surveyor recommendation, I'll keep him in mind. Just want to make sure the boat and the surveyor are not in conflict.

Tim Wilbricht of AYS represented us when we bought our boat and was excellent. Both he and Paul Rosen have very good reputations so you should be well covered in either case.

FWIW...

Re: Annapolis Yacht Sales, any good?

I talked with Paul Rosen years ago when we were first looking. Didn't end up buying through AYS, but I was very impressed with Paul and the whole operation. I had the impression that they were there to help buyers find the "right" boat, not just to make a quick sale and commission.
