Any Sail on the New BENETEAU Sense 50?

I sea trialed the Beneteau 55 in the Atlantic off PAlm Beach in 20 to 25 kt winds and 4 to 6 foot seas.

Yacht was fast, responsive, and had a lovely motion under full sails.

The only shortcoming I detected was that it was grossly underpowered.

At max rpm's, 3200, we made 7.5 kts. with the 75hp engine.

hull speed should be close to 9.5 kts.

the gross is 42,000 lbs and a rule of thumb the yacht should have at least 84hp

the 75hp engine drops to 67hp at 3100 rpm

I would have bought the boast that day if it wasn't so underpowered.

You might be ok in the 50 since it has the same engine and grosses much less
