Re: Are People Becoming More Ignorant ?

IMHO, it is the "It's all about me" folks. They lack the slightest consideration of their action's effect on others; from the slow driver in the passing lane to the guy passing a boat on the ICW on plane. I once overheard on the VHF (back when I actually used to monitor it) a fellow in a small Jonboat politely ask a large cruiser to slow down while passing as he had children aboard.... the cruiser replied "Get a bigger boat!"

I don't know if it is a "ME" generation thing or what, but it surely IS sad!

Re: Are People Becoming More Ignorant ?

Self absorbed and self centered w/ zero reguard for anyone else...it is annoying. I don't see it getting better, but getting worse.
The casting at your boat, 44' Cruising Cat, is amazing ignorant...will I ever not be suprised by peoples ways?

JMHO, but fishermen as a group are generally slobs that have no consideration for others.

The previous examples are seen everywhere.

They stereotype themselves every time.

OK guys... I've had to delete posts about nukes, guns, and political comments. PLEASE stick to the topic started by the OP and refrain from trashing the CF rules.

Re: Are People Becoming More Ignorant ?

Gee if someone was casting lurers at my boat, I might think about doing the same to theirs, say try and hook them with a tuna hook Maybe casting the anchor at them. 12 gauge would be next.
