Assistance Requested: Local to Preview Boat in Green Cove Springs FL

If there are any CF members that are local to Green Cove Springs in FL, I am interested in buying this Passport 42, but I live in the Western US.

If someone is in the area and knows the boat or is able to do a quick preview in person and see if there are any glaring red flags about the boat before I book a plane ticket to fly out there it would be greatly appreciated, and I will make it worth your while!

This may be no help, but just in case:
I will be in Jacksonville on July 9 and could go look at it the next day or so, but I am no surveyor, that's for sure. I just love boats, have sailed on quite a few, and would not mind going to look. Hopefully you get a much more helpful offer than this! If not, let me know. Beautiful boat!

I appreciate the offer! I'm going to try and talk to the broker more and get some details, and see where everything lines up!

Well I am in Jacksonville. But after 164 photos, which I stopped looking at after a while, I think you will learn nothing new till a sea trail.

It is an amazingly clean boat, someone did great job!

my only gripe with this boat is just how slow it is. d/len at 269.4 is fine

sa/d of 14.7 (according to sbd) is 14.17. Thats a bit painful. I wish i could over canvas this thing a bit

do you have any recommendations on good local surveyors in the area I could begin the process with? Or know someone i could connect with that would know a good local surveyor?

See if you can get the broker to put you in touch with the owner, to find out whether or not it has been treated against boat pox. Some of the Passports had probems with that.

There is a CF member, "boatpoker", who is East Coast US, and who posted this here to help folks look at boats: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...1-a-78671.html You could PM him and hire him to survey it, if you want to go ahead, after talking to the owner. Iirc, CF member "Snore" does surveys, and there may be others.
