Re: Available Moorings in Miami Fl

I'm in Manatee Pocket
It's okay, but no facilities what so ever.
no shuttle, showers, laundry. just a bathroom trailer next to a restaurant.

It would be a great spot if you lived near by.
very protected

My neighbor leaves in Feb
I am trying for Jan, but paid up until March 15th

CGSC feild, or Dinner Key Feild. I was told to call everyday, but I do not want to annoy the only person who may be able to help me.

Need a ball for about 4-5 months
Do some really become available in either feild?
or is a pipe dream?

I'm in Stuart now, and can not plan on moving unless I secure a place.

Any advice?
Are you still in that feild?
Thanks
Just anchor there, there is plenty of space. We always anchor just south of the dinner key channel, between the edge of the mooring field and the channel. There's over 5' MLLW there HOWEVER we had to move for a few days last winter during a spring tide due to extreme lows. We have 5' draft.

The city dingy dock at the park to the south of Dinner Key marina is closed for rebuilt (running over a year late). However there is another smaller city dingy dock on the north side the few marinas there. You've got to walk a bit for trash disposal and I'm not sure where there is water, however I've seen people with water jugs on dolly's and carts so I assume there is some.

The water hose on the dock at Dinner Key marina has been removed as they became aware cruisers and live aboards were using it.
