Bareboat charter locations in late May - Canaries Vs Med

Hi everyone - looking for recommendations for a bareboat charter for us and two young kids. I am experienced; the wife has a little experience; this will be the first trip for the girls aged 4 and 6.

Thinking Canaries but also open to Ionian. Thoughts appreciated!

My instinct is not Canaries.You want to maximise the likelihood of the girls having a good time. Lots of wind acceleration zones and fairly long passages there if things get uncomfortable and it's an unpredictable time of year.
