Best Place to Sell My Boat ?

What is the best place to sell my boat? I think it is a more than fair price on this forum and kijiji but it’s not selling. I would like to get it sold ASAP. I am looking for a larger boat any suggestions?

I had a quick look at your classified and there's not a lot there.

A strong recurrent theme among members is that for any advertisement there should be pictures. Lots of good clear ones that show what the boat is like. Some of the trailer would also be a good idea.

For me I'd like to see more information on the boat. LOA, LWL, Beam, Weight, lists of sails, anchors and any other equipment included.

Full details and photo of the trailer too.

If you have the original receipt from when you brought the boat and receipts for any equipment added or work done then you can mention this, along with registration details, if any.

If you mention the boat in another post then you can include a link and a photo.


If you add details to the thread and answer questions its not bumping, right.

I'd recon there may be a few interested. No suggestions about better places to sell...

22 foot on a trailer and C$4,500...........I'd go E-bay. and / or Google around to see where other people are listing there boats for sale in your area (ain't no one going to travel too far for a boat that size / value).

Putting something on the Internet always useful - even if only as somewhere to refer folk to rather than expecting folks to arrive by Google. I find Webs.com quite simple to use.

I also like Sailboatlistings.com. I would also consider building your own web site. Goggle Sites is pretty easy to do, and you can set it up to maybe make some money on advertising!

It is up to you to provide enough info for prospective buyers no matter where.Photos sure save a lot of down time for you both.Sailing Texas classifieds seem to move a lot of boats and handle not just those of southern states.Invaluable info for pricing craft in archive section.
google search and craigslist have to be considered if you really want her sold.

int he states... this is the ideal craigslist.org item. priced right and will attract lots of local buyers. idk how wide spread CL is in canada.

i might also suggest pulling together some of the info Boracay identified and a few pics and run off some copied on a color printer to pin up on the local marina notice boards.
