Re: Boat prices after Covid 19

OP is wishing the worst for personal advantage but it's not going to happen
I have a broker friend here in the south that told me today that the phone is ringing off the hook, people are making offers at listed price or close ,and people are buying. He closed 2 last week and expects to do the same this week.
Another friend in Asia sold a $15,000,000.+ new boat last month and has 2 similar deals with deposits ,going to final steps now.
Ohhhhh-catamaran demand is up --right now. There are boats at market prices and some pos at somewhat lower prices.
There may be a few desperation or disgust related deals around, but there are always those rarities regardless of the year.

Do you plan to come back to earth soon or will you extend your stay in Mars?

He/she is probably not sailing or owning a boat.
Everything has been sold, and every penny put to work with short positions in the stock market.
Or not...

When you ask a question, then argue with the replies in an attempt to get people to agree with you or support your theory, it's called TROLLING!!!!

You've effectively started a thread to engage in a debate. You're arguing from a position of speculation and opinion without facts to back up those opinions.

Do you really need facts? Ok here a few for you;

EU Commission;
- Euro economy downsize %7.7 (Previous +%1.2)
- German economy downsize %6.5
- French ecomony downsize %8.2
- Spain economy downsize %9.4

Enough?? no
Okay

Lufthansa will fly with only %1 of its capacity and plan to be back no normal in 2023.

Enough?? no
Okay

No vaccine found and never be before 2 yrs

Enough?? no
Okay

All politicians say we have to open our economies but the virus is out there, be safe

Enough?? no
Okay

All the countries depending on mostly tourism income will crash and EU will be over .. get ready for it..

But you can eat fish until the end of your life if you can catch bcs by the end of the year there will be no buyers

Re: Boat prices after Covid 19

I can kind of understand the cat manufactures being fully booked up, so rather than follow the herd, perhaps look at the European fin keeled mono yachts in the Autumn. Perhaps put the feelers out to see if dealers have build slots they can't fill.

Re: Boat prices after Covid 19

They all say the same.. they are fully booked does not mean they are 100s of boats to deliver.. thats a lie..
And the charter companies are paying for their mooring fees and earn nothing..
These companies dont have cash flow, they will sell %50 of their fleet..
We will see what happens in Oct.
