Boat Repair in Mexico

I just bought a boat and would love to have the bottom paint taken off. I received a quote for about $6-$7K to do the job in Phoenix where I live. I'm thinking of driving it down (it's trailerable) to Rocky Point, Mexico (Puerto Penasco) and having it done there. Has anyone had luck with Mexican repair shops? Are prices much better? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm sure I will have to wait for the border to open up, but would love to prepare in the meantime.

Thanks.
