Boat shows...

Which boat show has the best and most diverse selection of Sail boats, both mono and cats? I know that Fort Lauderdale is the biggest show in the world and there is also a strictly sail boat show.. Which one will have the best selection??

Cheers!

Just driving back from the Seattle Boat Show. Because I am currently refiitting our 39 Folkes I found it to be a great event because of the concentrated knowledge. In one place I learned about Harken Roller Furling, UK Sails, webasto wallas espar heat systems, was able to comapre integrated navigations suites from Furuno, Garmin, Jeppison/Boeing, Ray Marine, Learned about ow to integrate a tiller auto pilot with our self steering....saw some great canvas solutions, ....The on e the water portion of the show was more fun but the arena environment with the vendors was a better source of information.... Worth our time learned a lot.... Good luck Dave

Of what? The upcoming show in FL in February is the biggest with the most stuff to see show all year. Some of it may not apply to you. Given "best selection" is not all that precise it's hard to say.

I'm sure every vendor coming will agree they are the best. If you are going to any show some homework before you go helps. If you talk to any of the local dealers about a new boat you can generally get a free ticket. You need to prove you are not just out for the free ticket though. In that way it's not a totally free ticket.
