Boat windows

I am investigating if, what appears to be, minor scratches, can be removed from Polycarbonate Cabin Windows. These appear as 'swirles' or spiralling lines when viewed from inside and only when the sun is directly behind. Some windows are glass and do not show this effect. Has anyone experience with this issue or is it a normal feature with moulded polycarbonate?

Re: Boat windows

In general it is normal. They can be polished to be like new by someone who knows how to do it. In fact Airliner windows are super thick poly and are "rebuilt" all the time by polishing. My ex son in law used to have a company that did it. He polished the hatches in the boat in my avatar and they looked like new.
