boats aground in Cozumel Mexico

I am researching two accidents that happened in Cozumel, Mexico. The first event was when the Catorce, a 46-foot Durbeck cutter built in Bradenton, Florida, and registered in Grand Cayman ran aground and was abandoned on the east coast of the island in May of 1979. I believe that boat had been an entrant in the earlier "Sol al Sol" Regatta, before traveling to Roatan and then ending up ashore in Cozumel.

The second event was when the US ketch Flying Frenchman ran aground on the east side of Cozumel in 1986. The owner's name was Thomas, but I don't know his last name. That boat was lifted and trucked to San Miguel, where it was repaired.

Any info anyone has on theses two events will be a great help. Thanks!
