Boats for sale in Ho Chi Minh

Does anyone know if there are any boat sales listing in Ho Chi Minh? (Preferably in English.)

I'm heading there in a few weeks for an non-sailing related trip. Are there yachts there for salè, I wonder? Does anyone know if its a particularly "yachty" destination? (I know they're are some ship yards in Vietnam, but I don't know where, and I don't know if that means that people sell boats there.)

Any info gratefully appreciated.

The Vietnamese can't really have sail boats in Vietnam... There are legal issues due to river shipping from decades ago.

The companies producing boats in country get a special permit to test the boats, but that's very short term.

Thailand and Malaysia are better spots to look for sailboats.

Also, it’s a reasonably short and frequently made trip to go to Thailand from Ho Chi Minh. Maybe as part of your trip you could take a little detour over to look at some boats there

Years ago when I checked there was only one smallish section of the coast that was open to private yachts. Not sure anything has changed.
