Question books to read?

ok surfing the web today and joning this forum i've run across a lot i dont understand. ( which i expected)

i was just wondering what books you guys and gals would recamond for me to read.

ive already got a list of 7 books on how to build boats ( need to know the why thats why i'm getting thoes .....tommarow) now i'm looking for a list of books on sailing can any one help me in this endever?

i'm figuring that i might want to read up before i start taking classes in a few months

i just getting back in to this after 12 years so think of me as some one whos knows what a rope is and a rudder and that a boat is suposed to float. and if it dosent then there is somthing wrong..

THANKS!!

Here's a couple of elemntary books that I like.

Amazon.com: KISS Guide to Sailing (Keep It Simple): Books: Steve Sleight

Amazon.com: The Handbook Of Sailing: Books: Bob Bond

The first one is less dry and makes a nice armchair read. Lot's of color drawings.

In fact it's so good I loaned it and haven't been able to get it back in a year of trying ;-(
