Re: Building my own davits

I had my done on my specifications. 31 foot boat, 2,3 m dinghy. Uses the boom lift but is not hanging in the rig underway. Pretty pleased with the concept, compact and quick, allthough little problematic launching in heavy seas

I ended up just buying some Martek davits :0 All said and done I figure minimum for parts and tools I would have spent maybe 1/2 or 1/3 as much if I had done it myself. There would have been good satisfaction if it came out right, maybe next time. I'm pretty impressed at all the others here that were able to do it.
