Buying a US Boat and Importing to Canada

You need to talk to both an accountant and a lawyer. I am pretty sure a non-US resident cannot document a boat - for that you need to be a US citizen to do that. I believe you can get state registation but federal is a different kettle of fish and that's the one you need to take the boat out of the country.
